Sealy Christian Food Pantry Report & “THANK YOU”

Greetings, LifeBridge!

We started our drive thru distribution in the back of the sanctuary because of the Pandemic in March, 2020.

Almost a year later, who would have thought we would still be here, with no definitive end in sight to this Pandemic?

With that, we wanted to give you an update on how many families and individuals are being helped because of LifeBridge’s generosity and the use of this facility.

Prior to the Pandemic

Families served Every OTHER Week75-100
Individuals served Every OTHER Week200-225
Served from Ward Street location.

During the Pandemic

Families served EVERY Week225-250
Individuals served EVERY Week725-800
Served from LifeBridge location

Having the Sealy Christian Food Pantry at LifeBridge has been nothing short of God’s work and Grace in Action. Our Call at LifeBridge to be a positive force in the community, sharing God’s love and the physical assets the Lord has entrusted to us, have perfectly suited this partnership and blessing.

These numbers are staggering, as the hungry people in our area has TRIPLED during the Pandemic. Job loss and financial strains have forced people that typically would not frequent a food pantry to rely on us to supplement their food needs.

PRAISE GOD that we at the Pantry have been blessed in so many ways during these challenging times.

Our biggest blessing by far is the use of LifeBridge Church for food storage and distribution. We give all the GLORY AND PRAISE TO GOD for making LifeBridge available to help those in need!

THANK YOU from all of us at THE PANTRY!

Sealy Christian Food Pantry Continues to Feed Amidst Unique Challenges. LifeBridge Comes Alongside.

As our community situation rapidly changes, so must the way we address them.

The Sealy Christian Food Pantry is doing just that!
As they were not able to distribute from their current location, during this crisis, they are feeding the hungry in a “drive through” fashion (now being encouraged and emulated by other pantries!). What’s more, the main supplier of food, the Houston Food Pantry, is now in a mode where they will be delivering food in multiple pallets!

LifeBridge is blessed to come alongside of the Pantry in this effort!
The Lord’s facilities at LifeBridge can’t be used for much right now, but they can and are being used for this! In fact, we are in a prime spot and have the perfect facilities to help in this way right now.

PRAISE GOD!

Keep up the good work of the Lord, Sealy Christian Food Pantry! Well done!

Sealy Christian Pantry Christmas Food Drive

This drive will be similar to the Thanksgiving Food Drive, as we collect CANNED BLACK EYE PEAS for the Christmas Holiday Boxes.

The overwhelming support for the canned yams was awesome!

Please help FILL THE BOX with canned black eye peas for our Christmas boxes.

Our goal is 350 cans of beans by December 15!

God’s blessings to everyone for helping the hungry in our community!

Food Pantry Holiday Box Distribution

!! UPDATE !!

LifeBridge completely EXCEEDED the needs for Thanksgiving and the Pantry is so appreciative. This is the FIRST year that we have not had to go out and buy yams to supplement the needs.

Our God is awesome and always provides!!

Thank you, LifeBridge!!

The Sealy Christian Food Pantry will be distributing holiday boxes to our clients for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We are asking LifeBridge to contribute canned yams (sweet potatoes) to help with this cause.

The collection will start in October and run through December 15. You can drop off your cans in the pantry basket in the back of the sanctuary.

Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Also, if you would like to volunteer at the pantry during our holiday distribution (Nov 19 and Dec 18), please contact Sue @ 713-314-7355. This volunteer opportunity would be outside work on the driveway and the street.

Thank you for making a difference and helping those in need!
