On Sunday, December 16, April Towery, editor of “The Sealy News” attended LifeBridge and has since written an articles for the news. The article is titled “Amazing Grace” and shares information about LifeBridge, Pastor Scott and his family.
We love and appreciate our Sealy neighbors and partners as we serve this great city and community together.
Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams. Malachi 3:10 (The Message)
Both of the passages above (from Malachi and James) have a “scolding” aspects to them. My appeal here does not.
Rather, I simply want to provide you with the opportunity to respond in thanks to God for all He has done (and continues to do) for you, your family, and for LifeBridge.
Over the past week you may have tried to take inventory of all the Lord has blessed you with. If you are like me, you were unable to actually put into words all of them. There’s just too many.
God’s like that. He is bigger than us. His grace; His forgiveness; His love – all are bigger! Likewise, His provisions exceed our ability to respond!
Even so, we have the privilege to try! We have the privilege to say “thank You, Lord!” but show our thanks through actions, time, and funds. We have the privilege to GIVE-thanks in response to His indescribable and ongoing gifts!
If you would like to respond and, in so doing, help with the ministries at LifeBridge, you may do so by clicking the button below. If you would like to respond in other ways, so be it. No coercing. No berating. No judgement. Just a presented possible opportunity.
Are you paying attention to the coming newborn King Jesus, or are the distractions of the season and culture overshadowing Him? What’s your perspective about Jesus when you hear the “Good News of Great Joy” this season?
This Advent and Christmas we will BEHOLD! the coming of the Christ Child from different perspectives, like Isaiah, Mary, and Joseph. How did they understand God’s plan? How did they view their situations? What did Jesus mean to them?
For our next sermon series we will take a view from different people and groups in the Christmas narrative and see what their unique perspective was. Perhaps their take on this Baby, this “Lamb of God” will change our perspective, too!
