Reaching the Lost. Discipling the Saved. Sharing the Love of Jesus with Everyone.

Second Sunday after Christmas

If we want to be more like Jesus, we need to act more like Jesus.

One of the primary things that Jesus did was to be in His Father’s House (i.e., “in church”) and in The Word (i.e., “the Bible”). If we are to grow “in wisdom and stature” and in our love of the Lord and in deeds that please Him, we need to do the same by seeking His Word and His presence.

May we commit to that this 2021 and beyond!

I must be in My Father’s House.

Luke 2:49c

First Sunday after Christmas

The coming, life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus completed and pulled together all of History! His coming reminds us that God fulfills His promises and, more specifically, fulfilled His promise of One who would be “His salvation,” “a Light to the Gentiles,” and the “glory of His people, Israel!” He is the One! He completes us and all that we need! Praise the Lord!

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

Galatians 4:4-5

ANOTHER COVID POSITIVE NOTIFICATION

Good afternoon!

As we continue to bask in the joy to the world from the coming of the newborn King, Jesus, we continue to remember that, although He has overcome all things, the Enemy continues to inflict wounds and win some battles.

One of those battles was at the Christmas Eve service at LifeBridge last Thursday evening.

LifeBridge has just learned that someone who worshipped with us on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2020, has tested positive for COVID-19. We wanted to let you know so that you may take appropriate precautions and steps to keep yourself and your families safe, and to keep this person in your prayers for a mild case and speedy and full recovery.

WE URGE:

  1. In all public venues, including church, wear a CDC approved face covering.
  2. Enhance your social distancing discipline to maintain 6 feet of distance from others not in your immediate family.
  3. Carefully monitor your symptoms and avoid all personal contact and nonessential travel if you feel the least bit ill.
  4. Continue hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer.
  5. Should you have any symptoms or feel ill, stay away from in-person worship and seek advice from your healthcare professional.

To ensure your safety LIFEBRIDGE WILL:

  1. Continue to have all worship leadership’s temperature taken and masks worn when not seated each Sunday morning.
  2. Continue to perform contact tracing on those who attend services.
  3. Initiate an enhanced cleaning protocol 1 hour prior to any gathering and a follow up cleaning immediately following an event.
  4. Start handing out Communion elements and fellowship snacks to minimize contact by several.
  5. Closely monitor local, state and federal guidance and adjust our COVID-19 protocols accordingly.

This virus, like all struggles will continue to win some battles in this world. But fear not; for Jesus has overcome the world and won the war!

PRINCE of PEACE: God With Us Through the Chaos

We complete our Advent journey to the manger today.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 14:27

“Peace” seems pretty fleeting in our current world, country, and culture. Yet that’s what we’re called to! We are to be the ambassadors of God’s peace in our families, our communities, and our culture. That doesn’t mean there will be no hostilities around us, but that in and through them, we are sharing the One who brings peace amidst and through the chaos. We share the coming Jesus as the One through whom chaos and hostilities have been conquered. We share Jesus, Who blesses the world with hope through the peace only He can – and has – given! Bring it, Lord!

COVID POSITIVE NOTIFICATION

Good day!

As we count down the days until the celebration of the birth of the Savior, Jesus, we remember that He came to overcome all things and to bring us an eternity with Him that reaches beyond all struggles; physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Unfortunately, we see theses struggles all around us right now.

I would like to share one of those struggles with you.

LifeBridge has just learned that a couple who were at worship with us this last Sunday, December 13, 2020, has tested positive for COVID-19. We wanted to let you know so that you may take appropriate precautions and steps to keep yourself and your families safe, and to keep this couple in your prayers for a mild case and speedy and full recovery.

WE URGE:

  2. Enhance your social distancing discipline to maintain 6 feet of distance from others not in your immediate family.

“Thank You” from the Pregnancy Resource Center

We at Sealy Pregnancy Resource Center want to take this opportunity to thank you. Our moms were very happy to receive the gifts at our annual Children’s Christmas Party.  It has meant a lot.  Because of you 84 children will wake up to presents under the tree this year. For some, these will be the only gifts these children will receive on Christmas Day.

The mothers were elated at the unexpected beautiful stockings and Christmas hams. The backpacks kept the kiddo’s busy and their focus away from Santa’s delivery bags. Of course, Santa was a great hit!

Special thanks to David and Shannon Walker for coordinating and putting together the Angel Tree and the mother’s stockings

Thank you again for your generous and kind gifts and Merry Christmas,
Sealy Pregnancy Resource Center
