With surgeries starting back up at local hospitals, the need for more blood donations is growing daily. Your blood donation is essential to keep the blood supply strong and steady. Without on-going donors, we cannot ensure patients have the blood they need.
Currently, Type O blood especially is in demand, and we’re asking you to come in and donate today! The Blood Center has less than a one-day supply of blood on their shelves right now.
BE SOMEONE’S HERO.MAKE A BLOOD DONATION.
Please note that this blood drive will be by appointment only to promote social distancing. Also, free Hero Masks will be offered to all successful donors!
The Blood Center is now requiring that donors wear a mask or face covering when at a blood drive. In the case that you do not have one, staff will offer you one. The safety of donors and staff are important to us. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Today we continue our sermon series: “GOD’S PROMISES” as they relate to community.
Community is integral for the Christian and the life s/he is called to live. How do we fulfill our calling in that area when we cannot physically commune? What can and does community look like for the Christian within a pandemic with physical restrictions?
As our community situation rapidly changes, so must the way we address them.
The Sealy Christian Food Pantry is doing just that! As they were not able to distribute from their current location, during this crisis, they are feeding the hungry in a “drive through” fashion (now being encouraged and emulated by other pantries!). What’s more, the main supplier of food, the Houston Food Pantry, is now in a mode where they will be delivering food in multiple pallets!
LifeBridge is blessed to come alongside of the Pantry in this effort! The Lord’s facilities at LifeBridge can’t be used for much right now, but they can and are being used for this! In fact, we are in a prime spot and have the perfect facilities to help in this way right now.
Keep up the good work of the Lord, Sealy Christian Food Pantry! Well done!
On Sunday, October 27, LifeBridge will have a “Service Sunday,” where people can sign-up for various ministries and service opportunities – at LifeBridge and in our community.
Before we can sign-up for areas, we need a list of what those areas will be.
If you represent or would like to have LifeBridge folks help out in an area of service or ministry, please fill out the first form below. (Another one will be added later allowing folks to sign-up for those different opportunities.) e.g., If you help out at “Meals on Wheels,” you can add that here. If your school has an awesome service project you’d like others to be blessed in helping with, you can add that here. If you represent an organization, like a food pantry, where volunteers are needed, you can fill this out.
Put down multiple opportunities, if you think they would be helpful!
