Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.
Malachi 3:10 (The Message)
I’m sure y’all have been inundated by charities and groups asking for donations. Even so, we know that often “[we] do not have, because [we] do not ask” or ask with the wrong motivations.
Far be it from me to address you in this way!
Both of the passages above (from Malachi and James) have a “scolding” aspects to them. My appeal here does not.
Rather, I simply want to provide you with the opportunity to respond in thanks to God for all He has done (and continues to do) for you, your family, and for LifeBridge.
Over the past week you may have tried to take inventory of all the Lord has blessed you with. If you are like me, you were unable to actually put into words all of them. There’s just too many.
God’s like that. He is bigger than us. His grace; His forgiveness; His love – all are bigger! Likewise, His provisions exceed our ability to respond!
Even so, we have the privilege to try! We have the privilege to say “thank You, Lord!” but show our thanks through actions, time, and funds. We have the privilege to GIVE-thanks in response to His indescribable and ongoing gifts!
