“Man of Your Word” – God’s Word

“God is faithful. He has chosen you to share life with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NirV)

“Your Word is written in stone
It’s a thing we can always count on
You honor Your word
You’ll never have to repent
‘Cause You’ll never go against what You say”

God’s Word is our theme today. It is where we place our hope and trust because in It – in HIM – we hear of forgiveness, life, and salvation. We hear of everything that matters!

COVID POSITIVE NOTIFICATION

Good afternoon!

We praise and thank the Lord for His continued grace and kindness upon us as a people and nation, and for His mercy and protection amidst the pandemic and unrest that exists around us.

LifeBridge has just learned that a LifeBridge child of Toddler/BridgeKidz age has tested positive for COVID-19. This would possibly affect both Toddler and BridgeKidz age children at LifeBridge on Sunday.

WE URGE:

  1. Discuss with your doctor the benefits of available vaccines and their possible appropriateness for you.
  2. When appropriate, wear a CDC approved face covering.
  3. Enhance your social distancing discipline to maintain 6 feet of distance from others not in your immediate family.
  4. Carefully monitor your symptoms and avoid all personal contact and nonessential travel if you feel the least bit ill.
  5. Continue hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer.
  6. Should you have any symptoms or feel ill, stay away from in-person worship and seek advice from your healthcare professional.
  7. Speak with your health care provider or local Health Department officials with any specific questions you may have about your health or COVID-19.

To ensure your safety LIFEBRIDGE WILL:

  1. Have masks and hand sanitizer available for folks as they enter.
  2. Encourage folks to wear masks when not seated each Sunday morning.
  3. Continue to perform contact tracing on those who attend services.
  4. Start handing out Communion elements and fellowship snacks to minimize contact by several.
  5. Closely monitor local, state and federal guidance and adjust our COVID-19 protocols accordingly.

This virus, like all struggles will continue to win some battles in this world. But fear not; for Jesus has overcome the world and won the war!

Continuing to look at Jesus,
Pastor Scott

Michelle Nietert

Hi! I’m Michelle, a licensed professional counselor, previous minister (youth, children, women and small groups), school counselor and business owner of a large counseling practice in the Dallas, TX area. I love connecting with people and have interacted with women in the counseling office, numerous conferences and retreats, and in local church ministry for over 20 years.

My presentations are always informative and inspiring but also interactive. Whether it’s a MOPS group, luncheon, conference or retreat where I speak numerous times, my goal for my audiences to have fun, be empowered by God’s Word, and walk away changed by His Spirit.

GALATIANS Sermon Series

I died to the Law through the Law, so that I could live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in my body, I live by faith, indeed, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:19–20 (CEB)

St. Paul loves the people in the churches he’s visited.

That is true with the Church in Galatian, too.

He labored there for some time and then was absent for some time.

While absent, some of the Jews were trying to convince the Gentile believers that they had to fulfill all of the Law and regulations (even though they themselves couldn’t!), contrary to what Jesus and the Gospel is all about.

In this sermon series, we will walk through the book where Paul works to correct this fatal error cropping in to the Church – lovingly, but firmly!

We hope you’ll join us for this Galatians sermon series!

“Man of Your Word” – God’s Power

“God is faithful. He has chosen you to share life with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NirV)

“All things are possible
When we believe
Old chains are breakable
When we receive
Yahweh
You keep Your promises”

We focus on God’s Power today, never having to worry about anything, because if the Almighty is for us, it doesn’t matter who’s against us!

  • Philippians 4:11-13

New Women’s Bible Study Beginning

Ladies, are your thoughts holding you captive? Thoughts such as “I’ll never be good enough. Other people have better lives than I do. God couldn’t really love me?” Jennie Allen knows what it’s like to swirl in a spiral of destructive thoughts like this, but she also knows we don’t have to stay stuck in toxic thinking patterns. As she discovered, God built a way for us to escape that downward spiral. Freedom comes when we refuse to be victims to our thoughts and realize we have already been equipped with power from God to fight and win the war for our minds.

In Get Out of Your Head,” Jennie takes groups on a study in Philippians, inspiring and equipping us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. When we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. It starts in your head. And from there, the possibilities are endless.

This is a community women’s study starting soon! Details are below. We hope you’ll join us!
