REVELATION – Session 7 – Symbolism

Daniel Heitshusen answers a question about symbolism in Scripture.

Symbolism in Revelation & Scripture

Today we answer a question posed about symbolism.

How do we know what’s symbolic and what isn’t? We’ll jump into that today.

Thank y’all for your patience with me as we go through this relatively slowly. We’ll get to two (hopefully) more questions next week. Please leave any additional or new questions in the comments bellow OR on the Google Form (forms.gle/6ev4k7Rv5svQuJjw8). Your questions will be kept anonymous.

Adjacent Land Purchased!

LifeBridge Community Church is now in possession of additional land, increasing our overall acreage and allowing for increased opportunities!

The congregation of LifeBridge had overwhelmingly approved going forward with this opportunity and we look forward to seeing how the Lord will move us in it’s use in the days and years to come!

A very special THANK YOU to those on the Land Committee for all their efforts to bring this to fruition!

“It’s OK to HAVE SEX but …”

Today in our “It’s OK to … but …” series: SEX.

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Hebrews 13:4 (ESV)

Sex is one of the great gifts of God – and one of the most abused. Abused from misuse and abused from vilification.

How – and why – do we, as Christians, recapture the beauty and joy given and found in this wonderful and intimate act?

Join us and find out!

Revelation, Chapters 17-20

Today we finish up the reading of Revelation with chapters 17-22.

Next week we will begin going more in-depth/answering any questions you may have. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them bellow, OR you can fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/6ev4k7Rv5svQuJjw8. I cannot promise that I will answer every question, but I will do my best to read through them all and at least provide resources for them.

Feel free to follow along in your own Bible or on your own tablet, phone, etc.

NEW COVID NOTIFICATION — June 26, 2020

We have some important information to share with you. Here’s the short of it (with details below):

  1. Our Elder, Giles Montgomery, has tested negative for COVID-19!
  2. Pastor Scott’s test results are pending.
  3. Elder, Brackston Nutt may have been exposed 14 days ago.

GILES MONTGOMERY

We praise God for His goodness and that Giles’ test results have come back negative!

PASTOR SCOTT & FAMILY

Pastor Scott’s tests have, likewise, come back negative! We praise God for that! Even so, Pastor is preparing for simple outpatient surgery on Monday and needs to be isolated, as much as possible. He will not interact with anyone before, during, or after worship and when not in the pulpit, will sit isolated by the southwest door of the sanctuary. Before arriving he will also be gloved.

Jennifer’s tests are pending. However, it has been 11 days since possible exposure and no one in the family has exibited any signs or symptoms. Even so, Jennifer and Ben will not be at worship.

BRACKSTON NUTT

May have been exposed 14 days ago. He shows no signs the probability of his infection is very low. Even so, he will not be at worship this Sunday out of an abundance of caution.

We at LifeBridge continue to take precautionary measures with our sanitizing and cleaning, distancing, and the like, making sure we are proving a safe environment for you and your family. We want people to join us in worship, but only as they feel safe and comfortable.

Of course, we ask that you practice the same precautions so as not to potentially expose others. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have any symptoms of sickness, please stay home and join us online for worship. We will miss you, yet we thank you for helping to keep others safe.

Please keep people in your prayers during this very trying time!

Thank you, God bless, and have a great day, knowing the Lord is with you!

REVELATION – Session 5 – Chapters 12-16

Daniel Heitshusen goes through Revelation chapters 12-16.

Revelation, Chapters 12-16

Today we’ll cover Revelation 12-16. There’s a lot here, so we won’t cover it all in-depth yet. We’ll save that for a few weeks from now!

Feel free to follow along in your own Bible or on your own tablet, phone, etc.

Also, correction from last week. In Revelation 7, I mention that Ephraim and Manasseh are tribes of Israel, and that Levi wasn’t counted in that. I was incorrect. Ephraim and Manasseh are half-tribes of Israel. So the count is still 12, but Levi is included, and Joseph is divided into two half-tribes (Ephraim and Manasseh).

IMPORTANT COVID NOTIFICATION — UPDATED

Greetings in the name of the Risen and Reigning Lord, Jesus!

I have some important information to share with you.

One of our Elders extraordinaire, Giles Montgomery, informed us that a fellow coach has recently tested positive for COVID-19.

If you have been in worship at LB since we reopened, you will have noticed him masked and practicing social distancing. In addition, his exposure level with the other coach is not considered high.

Out of an abundance of caution, Giles will be self-quarantining along with the rest of the Sealy ISD athletic department.

He will return after his quarantine and testing negative for Covid-19.

Also, it has just come to our attention that Pastor Scott Heitshusen and his family may have been exposed to someone on Monday who is currently being tested. Results from that test will not be known until the early part of next week. (This would be, of course, after last Sunday’s worship and picnic.)

Pastor and his family will not be at worship Sunday out of an abundance of caution. Our very capable and wonderful, Brackston Nutt, will cover the message and Elders will take care of Holy Communion.

Please keep Giles, his family, and the Sealy ISD athletics department in your prayers – as well as the rest of our country and world during this difficult time.

Thank you, God bless, and have a great day, knowing the Lord is with you!

“It’s OK to DOUBT but …”

Today in our “It’s OK to … but …” series: the topic of DOUBT.

Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?

Luke 24:38 (ESV)

Belief and trust in God is a paramount tenet of the Christian faith, yet all Christians – all people! – doubt.

Does that mean we are no longer Christian?

Does that mean we have lost our faith?

As Christians, how can we still have faith and yet doubt?

Join us and see.
