Food Pantry Holiday Box Distribution

!! UPDATE !!

LifeBridge completely EXCEEDED the needs for Thanksgiving and the Pantry is so appreciative. This is the FIRST year that we have not had to go out and buy yams to supplement the needs.

Our God is awesome and always provides!!

Thank you, LifeBridge!!

The Sealy Christian Food Pantry will be distributing holiday boxes to our clients for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We are asking LifeBridge to contribute canned yams (sweet potatoes) to help with this cause.

The collection will start in October and run through December 15. You can drop off your cans in the pantry basket in the back of the sanctuary.

Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Also, if you would like to volunteer at the pantry during our holiday distribution (Nov 19 and Dec 18), please contact Sue @ 713-314-7355. This volunteer opportunity would be outside work on the driveway and the street.

Thank you for making a difference and helping those in need!

Youth Leader Position Available

The position for Youth Leader is open and available for fulfillment.

Following the departure of our previous leader, Caleb Swan, Ryan Pacher and others have graciously and awesomely stepped up to fill the void and ensure continuity of the program.

Ryan is in his last year of law school and due to his time and other commitments, is no longer able to continue in this position. The other volunteer leaders are also not able to take on this added position and responsibility at this time.

A Job Description PDF is here. Please direct all inquiries to the LifeBridge Board of Directors: board@lifebridgesealy.com.

We want to thank and praise God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon LifeBridge through the many and varied volunteers, who faithfully and graciously give of their time, talents, and treasures to keep our church whole.

Join us for our Thursday Evening LifeGroup with the needed message: “Living generously in a self-centered world.”

How natural is generosity to who you are? What do you do with what you have? Have you ever wondered what the Bible says about hospitality, generosity, and stewardship?

Everything we have is a gift. Will we hold tightly to these gifts with scarcity mentality or will we handle them with open hands and hearts?

Join us as we explore biblical accounts of giving. Examples will include:

  • offering hospitality,
  • time,
  • money,
  • spiritual gifts, and
  • empathy

All to the glory of God!

“Service Sunday” Approaching!

On Sunday, October 27, LifeBridge will have a “Service Sunday,” where people can sign-up for various ministries and service opportunities – at LifeBridge and in our community.

Before we can sign-up for areas, we need a list of what those areas will be.

If you represent or would like to have LifeBridge folks help out in an area of service or ministry, please fill out the first form below. (Another one will be added later allowing folks to sign-up for those different opportunities.) e.g., If you help out at “Meals on Wheels,” you can add that here. If your school has an awesome service project you’d like others to be blessed in helping with, you can add that here. If you represent an organization, like a food pantry, where volunteers are needed, you can fill this out.

Put down multiple opportunities, if you think they would be helpful!

Fill out our form for your service idea, ministry, or organization here!

The above form will be active until October 21. After that, it will be shut off so the other form with those opportunities can be made and added for Sunday, October 27.

Come back to fill that form out then and, of course, SIGN-UP AND SERVE!

Please and thank you!
