Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32 (niv)
Join us, Dudes and Dudettes as we learn to chill with the Beatitudes!
In the first sermon he ever preached, Jesus gave us the Beatitudes: eight blessings promised to those who seek Jesus and live for him. The Beatitudes can change the way we look at life and help us to live in a way that honors Jesus.
Kids, come join us as we find treasure along the Romans Road and learn how salvation through Jesus is the ultimate treasure!
We will travel on a journey from sin and separation from God to peace and eternal life with Him, learning life-giving verses along the way!
An ‘X’ (or cross!) marks the spot for the greatest treasure anyone could ever find – eternal life with Jesus!
Here’s our itinerary:
March 6 — “Quicksand” — Romans 3:23
We will learn God is perfect and His ways are perfect, but every one of us have sinned (disobeyed acted in ways that fell short of God’s perfection). But we’re not stuck in quicksand because Jesus saved us!
March 13 — Walking in the Dark — Romans 6:23 a
We will learn that everyone has sinned and that sin comes with a consequence (punishment for doing the wrong thing). The consequence for our sin is that it separates us from God. Thankfully, God didn’t want that separation, so Jesus brought us back to Him!
March 20 — A Light Up Ahead — Romans 6:23 b
We will learn that even though we deserve the punishment of separation from God because of our sin, Jesus came and took our consequence for us, so we don’t have to experience it!
March 27 — Clear Path — Romans 10:9
Salvation (being free from the consequences of our sin) comes from God. He gives it to us freely when we believe in Jesus, His Son. Faith in Jesus means we are saved!
April 3 — A Place to Rest — Romans 5:1
By believing in Jesus and putting our faith in Him, we are made right with God. This gives us peace because we know that even though we make mistakes, Jesus paid for all those mistakes on the cross!
April 10 — A Special Palm Sunday Lesson!
April 17 (EASTER!!) — TREASURE! — Romans 8:38-39
Jesus is our treasure that no one can ever take away! His resurrection from the death and life means eternal life for us – a treasure no one can ever take away!
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24 [NLT]
Stacy Wills is retiring 😢, but we are so thankful for her dedicated and faithful ministry for so many years. Not just at LifeBridge, but throughout her ministry.
She has been a beautifully humble, dedicated, loving, talented, and creative teacher, sharing the love of Jesus with countless number of children and their families.
So it is fitting that we take some time to share our thanks and appreciation.
On Sunday, January 30, 2022, following worship, we will have a luncheon in the café. All are welcome and invited!
We will also be sharing our appreciation during worship that day.
Come eat, fellowship, and let Stacy know how much you appreciate her and all she has done!
Mini-Pumpkins are too small to be jack-o-lanterns or pumpkin pies, but they are still very special.
This Curriculum teach kids that Jesus made sure to let his disciples and us know that even though children may be small, they are all still precious in His eyes!
Our new BridgeKidz curriculum for September is “What’s in Your Backpack?”, covering the following Bible memory verse and topics.
Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
Jeremiah 7:23b
Sept. 5
Pencil
Pencils are used to make notes when the teacher speaks. Too bad we can’t do that when our friends need a listening ear. Being a good friend means listening, not speaking, and really hearing what someone else needs to say. James 1:19-20. “Be slow to speak, quick to listen.”
Sept. 12
Notebook
We use notebooks to help us remember things. We need to remember to be unselfish and think of others ahead of ourselves. Philippians 2:3-11
Sept. 19
Folder
Having a folder helps us keep track of all that we’ve finished. We can remember to trust God when we look back at all the things He has done for us. Joshua’s farewell speech to the Israelites.
Sept. 26
Ruler
Just like a ruler gives you a guide in centimeters or inches, the Bible gives you a guide for knowing God. A ruler lets you make a straight line. The Bible helps you live your life down a straight path. Proverbs 3:5-6
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.
Psalm 34:8
Kids love snacks! (Ok, so adults do, too!) They taste good. But even with all of their sweet, crunchy, salty, or chewy goodness, nothing compares to the goodness of our God!
Send your kids to BidgeKidz for this exciting Children’s Church on Sunday mornings!
Our lessons will include:
POPSICLES: In those hot summer months, nothing satisfies like a cool, refreshing popsicle. Kids will learn that when we get angry, we should turn to God who can help us keep our cool. James 1:19-27 — Slow to Become Angry
DOUGHNUTS: We love those sweet doughnuts with the trademark hole in the center. Kids will learn that each of us has a hole in our hearts that can only be filled by Jesus. John 4:4-26 — Jesus and the Samaritan Woman
CHEESE PUFFS: Being puffed-up and full of air is great for Cheese Puffs, but not so great for people. Kids will learn that Jesus wants us to be humble and honest rather than puffed up with ego. Luke 20:45-21:4 — The Widow’s Offering
FRUIT: If we are wise we won’t just snack on junk food, but from time to time we’ll grab something healthy like fruit. Kids will learn that the healthy and wise people are the ones who build their lives on Jesus. Luke 6:46-49 — The Wise and Foolish Builders
POPCORN: When you make popcorn on the stove, what starts as a few kernels quickly gets to popping and soon will a huge pot. Kids will learn when we trust God, even small starts can have great big finishes. Judges 7:1-23 — Gideon’s Army
GOLDFISH CRACKERS: With their wonderful cheesy crunch, it’s no wonder you want to “catch” as many goldfish crackers in your mouth as you can. Kids will learn that Jesus wants us to be fishers of people, telling them about Jesus. Luke 5:1-11 — Jesus Calls the First Disciples
LifeBridge’s BridgeKidz ministry is spearheading an awesome service project to help the Sealy Christian Food Pantry restock some important items, so they can keep helping so many people in our area.
